vacation: take 1 - camping

we just returned from over two weeks away on vacation. it was wonderful, filled with friends, family and fun firsts!

we took a week and went to chain-o-lakes state park near chicago, il. there we camped with our friends from cincinnati, minneapolis and east lansing, mi. what a great time! in fact we were having such a great time i didn't get many pictures. here are a few.

this is xander and owen chillin in the camp chairs. they are both two and enjoyed each other a lot!


this is xander and aj. they don't look very happy in the picture, but they honestly had a good time. the weather was only so-so while we were there - the kids were all troopers!


this is audrey... she's hard to see, but we thought she looked cute peeking out of the tent.

we're already looking forward to next year's trip!
